Lottery Grant Chingford Photographic Society are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Lottery Grant by 'Awards for All' for the sum of £4221. This money will be used to purchase equipment to enable us to put on Audio Visual shows at other clubs and locations in the area to benefit the community.
Many years ago, we used to give Audio Visual presentations using 2 slide projectors with an electronic unit that synchronised a music track, with the slides fading in and out. We gave many such presentations at photographic clubs and community centres all over London and the home counties. Unfortunately, with the advent of digital cameras, club members used less slide film, so the presentations became less and eventually ceased altogether. This award will enable us to purchase a digital projector, laptop, screen and all of the associated equipment to begin the presentations again and we look forward to showing our work.
